Sail1Design & ISSA Join Forces!!
|
Sail1Design is pleased to announce our newest sponsorship, that with the Interscholastic Schools Sailing Association (ISSA). ISSA is the organizing authority for United States High School Sailing. Sail1Design is committed to youth sailing & development, so this sponsorship makes perfect sense. ISSA has a long tradition of excellence and dedication to youth sailing, and S1D is happy to support their efforts. We are also excited to support competitive high school sailors & events, and hope this will be the beginning of a long-term growth relationship.
Additionally, Sail1design will now manage ISSA’s classified ads, including boats, gear for sale/wanted, and Job Bank postings. Sail1Design already manages these functions for the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA), and putting them together, in one site, will allow sailors of all ages to take advantage of one, integrated website dedicated to Job Posts and sailing classified ads. Check out” www.highschoolsailingusa.org and www.Sail1Design.com !!
More on S1D
Who are we?
While some web-based classified sites tout quantity, Sail1Design is all about quality. We are not for everyone. Our site is dedicated to the performance sailing community, and one-design/performance sailboats, period. Sail1Design was and remains designed by sailors, for sailors, with a strict focus on the one-design, performance, youth and racing communities.
We feel strongly that our targeted market helps distinguish our site, our clients, and our ads. When someone clicks on “Sail1Design”, chances are they know what they’re looking for. We don’t want 100,000 ads. We want the best performance sailboats. We want to be unique.
What can we do for you?
Sail1Design can help expose your company to the tight-knit performance and racing sailing community. We are in touch with youth, high school and college sailing organizations, we sponsor regattas, we provide private, professional coaching/clinics, and regatta support, and, of course, we market our site to help you sell your boats. In short, we are out there.
We market our site aggressively to the sailing community.
Ø Print ads in sailing publications
Ø Online marketing with sailing-related web sites
Ø Regatta sponsorship, including, the Laser District 11 Championship, J/24 East Coasts, club 420 Mid-Atlantics, 505 North Americans, and more
Ø We are the official classified site of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) and the Interscholastic Sailing Association (ISSA). We are very excited about bringing both high school and college sailing under one web-based roof. This will add exposure & traffic to our site, help develop our mission, and also expose traffic to our site sponsors and advertisers.

Team Tsunami Press Release: April 2007
Over the winter another J/105 has become available in the Annapolis area to race as a junior boat with Team Tsunami. This boat is Team Storm Trysail. Both boats will be members of the same team, Chessie Jr. Racing. A management team of volunteers from Storm Trysail, Tsunami Syndicate and the Annapolis community will work with the juniors, coaches, safety officers, and parents to make the 2007 season fun and productive.

The intent is to develop a roster for each boat consisting of juniors between the ages of 10-18. An anticipated number of 45 sailors will be needed. Experience is not necessary, instructors will teach all levels of sailors. Desire to learn is important.
The racing schedule has not been finalized, but we are planning on every Wednesday Night Race of the Annapolis Yacht Club series followed by a BBQ with debrief guest speakers from the Annapolis area. Other races will include weekend races in the Annapolis area. Both boats will participate in the same races. Practices and social functions will be scheduled throughout the season.
For more information, contact sail1design and we will send you to Chessie Jr. Racing! |
